Athelney soaps are handmade in small batches on the Somerset Levels using plant ingredients. My aim is to make soaps with ingredients that are as natural as possible and will always be either Vegetarian friendly or Vegan friendly. Athelney Soaps are made using the traditional ‘Cold Process’ method and are poured and cut by hand. I take great care to make every bar special.

Natural fragrance
Our fragranced bars contain essential oils, never synthetic fragrance. We also make unfragranced soaps.
Natural colour
Our soap bars are lightly coloured with natural clays such as French green clay & pink clay, activated charcoal, or infusions of roots and petals.
Eco-friendly packaging
All of our packaging is either compostable or recyclable. This includes wraps around the bars of soap and also packaging used for posting out bars and gift boxes.
